Stylish. Super discreet. Powerful. A friend to every body.

Very short battery life.

After falling in love with the original Crave Vesper back in 2014, and then going head over heels with the Vesper 2 in 2024, the Vesper Mini launch has me trembling with glee. When I opened the velvety box and saw it with my own eyes, something came over me. I suddenly felt like Indiana Jones—I had procured something beautiful, sleek, and powerful, and I’d fight to the death to keep it safe. A bit dramatic, perhaps, but the Vesper is iconic, OK?

Crave's Vesper devices are tiny vibrators you wear around your neck, like jewelry. The company has been promoting this ethos of how everyone should celebrate their sexual pleasure, but it doesn't stop there. Almost every product Crave puts into the world aims to destigmatize sex and sexuality, propelling a forward-moving conversation that we should all be having: humans are sexual beings and there’s no shame in that.

Impeccable Quality

After 13 years in the sexual wellness industry, it's not a huge exaggeration to say I've tried close to 1,000 sex toys. In that time, I’ve learned what’s quality and what’s not. Everything I've ever tested from Crave has been excellent, and naturally, that extends to the Vesper Mini. It’s 100 percent waterproof and made of polished 316L surgical stainless steel and nickel-free plating, meaning it’s body-safe.

It’s small, hence the name, but not too small. At just three inches in length, it's about two-thirds the size of the original Vesper and Vesper 2. As much as I appreciate some of the larger toys out there that look like they may have been inspired by Star Trek's Starship Enterprise (like the Womanizer Duo 2), I prefer simple and to the point (à la direct clitoral stimulation), and that’s what the Vesper Mini delivers. Despite its size, it doesn’t shortchange on power and intensity.

The Mini has three speeds to choose from, and the fourth option, similar to the Vesper 2, is a tantalizing wave pattern that teases the clitoris in a relaxing way, creating a sensation that’s more on par with foreplay than the main act—at least that’s how my body interpreted it. You can also tap into turbo mode with a double-click of the button, which ultimately ended up being my favorite speed. The Mini can be used to stimulate all of your favorite external erogenous zones, and you can do so even more discreetly than with its predecessor, thanks to its size.

When I removed the Mini from my neck, I could easily hold it between my index and middle finger—I have small hands—and it couldn’t be seen. In fact, the only time the Vesper Mini might become indiscreet is if you play with it in public. How many people can keep their O-face under wraps? That’s why I kept my Mini time behind closed doors, having never been much of an exhibitionist.

Long Charge

I'm nitpicking, but the only thing I find annoying is the 90-minute charge time. If you use the Mini at its highest intensity, you only get 30 minutes of play time. (You get 40 minutes with the Vesper 2.) But it’s a tiny gadget, so it seems reasonable. If you do have this amazing little gadget on full power for 30 minutes on your clitoris—or whatever body part is your main avenue to climaxing—you’ll be inundated with orgasms. Use that 90-minute break to rehydrate.

The Crave Vesper Mini is fantastic. At $109, it's oddly more expensive than the Vesper 2, but no one ever said luxury was cheap. It’s USB-C rechargeable (with a proprietary plug on one end), whisper-quiet, even on turbo mode, and comes in silver, rose gold, black, and 24-karat gold plating, with a matching adjustable 26-inch chain.

I’m a firm believer that everyone’s sex toy collection should contain a variety of vibrators—especially a bullet vibrator, which is essentially what the Vesper Mini is. Considering it doubles as a necklace, that makes it even more special and something everyone should have if you wear jewelry. In other words, I just gave you a hot tip for what to get your favorite people on their birthday. Or, if you want to be romantic about it, Valentine’s Day is an ideal occasion to give this vibrator to someone you love.
