According to the Entertainment Software Association, there are over 190 million video gamers in the US alone, with the most recent data valuing the global gaming industry at $27.97 billion.
Both of those figures are predicted to balloon in the coming years, with USwitch stating that, as more casual players flock online to quest with friends and battle foes, the UK’s 10.84 million gamers will increase 6.64 per cent by 2027.
The modern gamer is becoming ever more discerning, demanding improved screen or display quality, reduced input lag, and cutting-edge color accuracy to ensure the razor-sharp visuals of today’s high-definition games are done justice.
At this year’s IFA Berlin, Europe’s largest consumer and home electronics show, Hisense showcased its scenario-driven and user-centric approach to technology with the reveal of two new products and a global partnership that have been specifically designed with gamers in mind.
Partnering with Xbox, Hisense revealed two world-first laser projectors that bring flexible, big-screen immersive gaming experiences to game lovers—and these incredible devices were on the show floor for visitors to experience first-hand.
The TriChroma Laser Cinema PX3-PRO, which was specifically designed for Xbox, is an Ultra Short Throw Projector featuring a customisable 4K display with 80-inch to 150-inch super large projection size. Hisense’s Pro Laser Engine introduces ultra-realistic colors and unparalleled gaming immersion, with an ultra wide colour gamut and color accuracy.
In addition to this, real-time Pro AI Algorithms enhance brightness, fine-tune contrast, and eliminate picture noise for an upgraded projector experience.
But perhaps most impressive is the adjustable Ultra Short Throw Technology, which reproduces lifelike images from 80-inch to a massive 150-inch. All users have to do is physically move the projector to increase the image size.
Even with such a massive display size, there is myriad Hisense technology at work to ensure realistic color representation, right down to, say, subtle variations in skin tone or natural scenery.
The marque says its PX3-PRO color gamut can reach up to 110 percent BT.2020, which is the difference between getting washed-out visuals, and the rich, realistic vista required to properly enjoy today’s movies, TV shows, and games.
Support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos provide further immersion and a massive 3,000 ANSI Lumen brightness means that the most subtle visual nuances are crisp, even if they happen to be tucked in the corner of the frame.
Hisense also offered the opportunity for IFA Berlin attendees to get hands-on with the 4K Laser Mini Projector C2 Ultra, which is among the first in the world to receive “Designed for Xbox” certification in the lifestyle projector category.
With the versatility to project on any surface and scale from 65- to a massive 300-inch image, the C2 Ultra is packed with features like Auto Low Latency Mode, MEMC technology, and a refresh rate of up to 240 frames a second—making for buttery smooth gameplay.
During the show, Hisense showcased how both projector products automatically gave games top priority and dramatically reduced latency for a responsiveness those who played could feel.
As the official partner to one of the most anticipated action RPGs of the year, Black Myth: Wukong, Hisense was able to create an exclusive Black Myth: Wukong Picture Mode to bring its next generation graphics to life.
Packed with vibrant colors, intricate details, and exhilarating action sequences in stunning 4K resolution on its Black Myth: Wukong recommended TVs—the Hisense ULED Mini LED TV U7 and QLED TV E7 PRO—gamers experienced immersive gameplay thanks to features such as 144Hz Game Mode PRO and Quantum Dot Color.
Hisense U7 and E7 PRO TVs deliver exceptional image quality with enhanced HDR, precise color calibration, and improved dark detail, even at an enormous 100-inch screen size.
With the full force of deep bass and immersive audio from Dolby's technology, which is integrated right into your TV's built-in subwoofer, players will experience every battle and exploration with remarkable realism.
But it isn't just gamers that Hisense caters for—the same, or similar technology, can also add realism and detail for sports fans, too.
In August, Hisense announced it became a regional partner of Real Madrid in Spain, Africa, and the Middle East. As a result, Hisense and Real Madrid will jointly launch a limited edition 100-inch television, offering unprecedented picture quality and immersive sound to enhance the experience for fans around the world.
At IFA 2024, Hisense showcased not just its latest, cutting-edge audio/visual technology, but also its commitment to “User-centric Technology” and “Ultimate Quality”. Recently, Hisense has made a number of positive changes to its brand, forming key partnerships with elite-level sporting bodies and the biggest names in gaming, while also expanding the real-world scenarioses its technology can support with an upgraded scenario-driven strategy. Hisense has also enhanced its industrial structure, reaching far beyond its domestic market to aid globalization.
